Abstract
Sexual violence against adolescents is defined as any sexual act performed without the adolescent's consent, involving a person in a more developed psychosexual stage, with the aim of satisfying that person's sexual desires. The Institute of Applied Economic Research (Ipea) estimates that only 8.5% of rapes in Brazil are reported. Thus, the objective of this article is to promote reflection on the importance of deconstructing social taboos related to sexual education, in addition to disseminating information on reporting channels and support agencies. The project was developed in two stages. The first stage was through a discussion group addressing important points on the subject, highlighting the signs that can help identify cases of sexual abuse, ways to report and seek help. The second stage involved a playful dynamic, aiming to show adolescents, in an appropriate manner, what can and cannot be touched on their bodies, differentiating the types of violence and exemplifying how they can occur, through a quiz. Of the 16 adolescent participants, 5 answered all 10 questions correctly in the quiz, while 10 young people answered more than half of the questions correctly and only 1 answered less than half. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the dissemination of information previously provided. Given the above, it is clear how important the approach to this subject is in the education of children and adolescents, contributing positively to breaking taboos and consequently to prevention, increasing the number of reports.
