Abstract

With its wide use in the construction industry to PET (polyethylene terephthalate) has become a constant presence in the consumer, as a result has increased the amount and diversity of urban waste. With population growth and the increased level of quality of life resulting from the progress of recent decades, the amount of waste produced has increased enormously. One of the most prominent environmental issues in recent times is the issue of recycling and the search for new technology to deploy in the construction market, which will meet the conditions for cost reduction, speed of execution and durability has placed significant challenges to understanding complex chain of recycling and the possibilities of advanced practices and environmental management policies. Several studies and publications have been made based on this theme, so this work is the discussion about the recycling of PET packaging and the use of this material to create more resistant bricks, enjoying its qualities.
