Abstract
This study aims to identify the incidence of sexual aggression in children and adolescents in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, PE in the period 2020 to 2021, through a geographic mapping. This is an ecological, descriptive and exploratory study of a quantitative nature, using spatial data analysis techniques to investigate the existence of an association between geographic location and the occurrence of sexual assaults against children and adolescents in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. Recife PE. Data were collected in reports, from expert examinations carried out at the Instituto de Medicina Legal Antônio Persivo Cunha. Recife stands out with the highest relative frequency, both in 2020 and in 2021, with values of 37.64% and 32.03%, respectively, followed by Jaboatão dos Guararapes and Paulista, accounting for these three municipalities together approximately 66%. of notifications of sexual assaults on children and adolescents in the Metropolitan Region of Recife in 2020 and 64.3% in 2021. It was observed that 87% of victims were female, in 30% the aggressor was a known person, in 77% of cases the complaints were made by the minor or the mother, in 41% the prevalent age group - 11 to 15 years, the type of injury with 77% of the cases was the presence of libidinous acts and carnal conjunction. The high frequency of sexual violence against children and adolescents evidenced helps in the visibility of this serious public health problem and corroborates the need for a more focused look at preventive public policies.
