The aim of this article is to understand the specific issues raised by Brazilian intellectuals who adopt a decolonial perspective. To this end, an exploratory study was carried out using decolonial feminist methodology, which analyzed the field of decolonial studies and, specifically, the authors of Brazilian black feminist thought: Beatriz Nascimento, Lélia Gonzalez and Sueli Carneiro. Based on the analysis of the literature, it was observed that the concepts and practices brought by the authors are in line with what is produced in decolonial studies in other countries and have specificities relating to Brazilian history. In this way, understanding the work of Brazilian decolonial authors makes important contributions to the field of studies.
