Abstract

ABSTRACT: With the advancement of technology, it is becoming easier and easier to manage and monitor the processes that are developed in any work environment. The development of the Electronic Health Record has assisted health unit managers in managing the productivity of their employees, and also in monitoring the way in which the consultation processes for users of the Basic Health Units (BHU) are being applied. The information contained in paper records is very important, but it can be lost when sent to the hospital, for example, when you need to take it or even when a patient changes address and your paper record. , needs to be taken to Basic Health Units to which it will be linked. In the Electronic Record, all information is viewed and transferred through the system, preventing data loss. Through the proper use of the Electronic Health Record system, it is possible to have a quality service as well as reduce the constant queues that exist in health posts, provided that it is properly used within the well-defined use of consultation processes in the units, Since patient information is well structured in the Electronic Record, making it easy for professionals authorized to view it. The objective of this work is to optimize the processes of the Aracaju Basic Health Units, using Business Process Management (BPM), in order to reduce the queues at health posts and thus promote higher quality appointments in order to that current processes still promote high patient congestion as well as the high dropout in care due to the long waiting time to get care, whether through doctors, nurses or technicians and nursing assistants.
